Mardi Gras in Photos

Our visit to New Orleans and Abita for Mardi Gras was so much fun... the only problem was that we didn't anticipate how tired we were going to get doing all that running around! Everything was fantastic, the weather was wonderful, and we got to spend time time with family and with good friends. Many thanks to G and Opa for taking care of the girls while Casey and I had a night in New Orleans sans kids, and big thanks to Darryl and Leah for hosting us! It would be difficult to put in to words all that we got to do, so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

The Valentine Series

I always get a little overexcited about the crafty portion of Valentines Day... when G was two, I spent a ridiculous amount of time making Valentines for all of the other two- year-olds in her daycare class. It was a lot of fun, but who are we kidding? Two-year- olds really don't care what their Valentines look like. I'm assuming that all of the three and four-year-olds in her current class won't care either, but I showed Georgia this little matchbox Valentine tutorial that I found online and she was up for the challenge. We had a lot of fun! (And the tiny boxes will be filled with candy hearts, which will surely be a hit.)
