Four Looks a Lot Like This

Can you believe she's four today? Neither can she.

"I can't believe I'm four!"
Four Today

Happy birthday to the sweetest, sassiest and most stubborn four year old I know. I'm so lucky to be your mama.

The (First) One About the Birthday

There are really too many photos from this past weekend to overload this one post, so I'm going to break it up into several to make it easier (easier for me, that is). We hosted G's birthday party here at the house and kept it pretty small, but when a freak March storm blows in, the bouncy house place cancels because of high wind advisory, and there are 20ish people crammed into a 1000 square foot house? Well, you just eat cupcakes and enjoy the crowd.

G waits for the guests:

lying in wait

Dressed to the nines:

waiting

This was her face when she opened her "birthday shoes:"

anticipating

Which look like this:

the famous birthday shoes

And Adele likes them too:

adele also likes the shoes

They are super sparkly and G recommends wearing them with stripey tights:

the sneaks!

We blew up a bunch of balloons:

balloons!

Which Mama enjoyed as well:

mama and balloons.

But Adele did not:

not enjoying the balloons

which was sad.

But then the guests arrived... (part two to come...)

Apologies and a Dance

I realize I haven't been posting as much here this year as I wanted to (apologies to the grandparents) and so I'm going to try to do better. I think Georgia may not be my biggest fan when she's older because I'm about to show this video, but I laughed so hard while watching it that I couldn't not share. My personal favorite moment starts at about 1:20, if you can make it that long.

Late Afternoon

It feels like spring might actually have arrived... the girls and I spent the afternoon in the yard enjoying the sunshine. Can you believe they're so big? I really can't.

A Tuesday Morning
