Maybe this makes me a bad mom, but for a gift this Mother's Day, Casey gave me... the day off. Sounds weird, doesn't it? Shouldn't I have spent the entire day with the people who made me a mom? But I have to admit, it was nice to have some time to myself. I slept in (until 8:45! Hallelujah!) and then was taken out for bagels. Adele enjoyed her first bagel with cream cheese, which was, uh... interesting. And messy. Then I headed out for a pedicure, which was the ultimate luxury, and spent the rest of the day lounging around at home with Case and the girls. I didn't wash a dish, I didn't cook a meal, I didn't do any laundry or fold any clothes. It was the height of luxury!
Thank you to my wonderful family for realizing that I needed a little downtime... and for letting me be the mama.
Here are a few shots of the day itself, and some others that I just love.

Sounds like you spent quite a bit of time with your family! And all of those other things (the dishes, the laundry, the dinner) don't make you a mom.
Sounds like the perfect day. If only Mother's Day could come once a month...
