Kahdalea

On the way to Colorado from South Carolina (no, there's no typo there) we were able to stop off at one of my other favorite places on earth: Camp Kahdalea, in Brevard, North Carolina. It's actually just outside of Brevard in the Pisgah National Forest. I started going to Kahdalea when I was eleven, and it is just such a magical place. I was thrilled to be able to share it with Casey and the girls.

the gazebo is a kahdalea symbol. The gazebo is one of the symbols of Kahdalea... there are two of them in camp and it's a symbol that's on the uniform shirt and lots of other places. adele contemplates the jump Adele was pretty interested in the diving platform. daddy and adele check out the lake We walked down to the lake and around some of the cabins. the dining hall And we got to eat lunch with the lovely Anne in the dining hall! Georgia was a little intimidated... when visitors come in to camp, the girls all sing a welcome hello song. G turned around and ran out of the dining hall! She came back, though. arts and crafts house at Kahdalea Walked by and took a look at the arts and crafts house, but it was closed for the day. I have such great camp memories and friends, and I can't wait until the girls are old enough to go!
